For the Church: that we may be transfigured more and more into the image and likeness of Christ
For the grace to listen: that we may hear the voice of Christ in prayer, in events, and in relationships so that we may respond more fully to God’s invitation
For freedom from fear: that God will cleanse our hearts of fear and help us to live in the freedom of the Children of God
For courage: that we, like Abraham, may go forth from all that is familiar to new places and relationships into which God leads us
For all who are facing crisis, loss, or low points in their lives: that they may experience the transforming grace of God and grow in their trust of God to bring forth a new beginning and abundant life
For Candidates for full communion with the Church: that God will lead them to a deeper awareness of the New Life within them and help them be renewed by their Lenten observance
For an openness of heart: that as we prepare to celebrate the sacrament of penance, we may discover God’s unbounded love that desires to forgive and free us
For all who are trying to discern their calling in life: that they may make space in the busyness of life to let God’s Word move their hearts
For all the descendants of Abraham, for Jews, Muslims, and Christians: that we honor all that we share in common and work together to overcome evil that ensnares human hearts
For all who share in the sufferings of Christ particularly those who are persecuted for their faith: that the Spirit of God may fill them with courage and make fruitful their witness to the Gospel
For all expectant couples: that their child will grow and develop and that God will help them to be wise and loving parents
For all who are in dangerous situations: that God will guide them each day and preserve them from harm
For all recovering from tornados, storms or floods: that God will renew their spirits and guide them in rebuilding their lives
For seasonable weather and successful crops: that God will renew the earth, guide those who work it, and send rain to the areas of drought so that all may be fed
For the gift of peace: that God will turn hearts from violence and open new pathways for cooperation so that all might live in safety
For all who have died: that they may live in the light of God’s presence forever
