Reading II: 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
Gospel: John 13: 1-15

I ask the grace to “help us
love you and our neighbor”

(Introductory Prayers)

THE GOSPEL
John 13: 1-15

I have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet.

Jesus
tied a towel about his waist,
and began to wash
the disciples’
feet.

Teacher, help us
learn

that the Infinite, all-powerful God,
who is inexhaustible love,
remains at heart,
a servant
of all.

Let
us not
ignore or just
tolerate our neighbors.
Like you, let us wash their feet
and give them their food and drink.

THE FIRST READING
Exodus 12: 1-8, 11-14

But the blood will mark the houses where you are. Seeing the blood, I will pass over you; thus, when I strike the land of Egypt, no destructive blow will com upon you.

Jesus,
goal of all things
we are your pilgrim Church.
Fill our hearts with the fire of your love.
Show us the way. Keep us on the pilgrim path to you.

THE SECOND READING
1 Corinthians 11: 23-26

This is my body that is for you.

The Word was made flesh
and dwelt among us—
not excluding
death.

He still dwells with us,
not excluding
death.

He is bread, wine, food drink,
flesh and blood,
at every
Mass.

The Word was made flesh
in every way but sin,
and dwells
among
us.
