For the Church: that the Spirit will deepen our identity as daughters and sons of God and help us to faithfully live as disciples each day
For one another: that the prayer, fasting and almsgiving of Lent may bring forth a new springtime of faith in our lives
For the grace of conversion: that the Spirit will guide us in turning more fully toward God and in recognizing the demons that seek to confuse and deceive us
For all believers: that the Word of God and Bread of Life may nourish us and strengthen us for our life’s journey
For all who have been chosen for the Easter sacraments: that God will draw them closer and help them to turn toward all that is holy and good
For all who are alienated from the Church: that God will touch their hearts and lead them to a renewal of faith and a reconnection with the community of faith
For all who struggle with attractions to wealth, power, and control: that God will free their hearts and guide them to a life of faith and trust
For those who struggle with drugs, alcohol, violence, gambling or stealing: that the Spirit of God will help them recognize the harm that follows these actions and give them strength to make life-giving choices
For all who must fast every day, particularly the homeless, refugees, and those recovering from natural disasters: that our fasting may make us more aware of them and our hearts more generous towards them
For our legislators: that the Spirit will lead them to new insights concerning the poor and powerless as they prepare budgets and reorganize programs
For a deeper respect for the world which God created: that we may recognize the land, water and air as God’s gifts to all the human family and be good stewards of them
For all who are unemployed, in financial difficulties, or who have lost hope: that God will open a new path for them that offers opportunity and hope
For all who are discerning vocation or career directions: that the
Spirit of God will help them recognize how they can best serve God and
share their gifts in life-giving ways
For the growth of peace in our world: that God will guide those
working to renew their nations and establish new structures of
government as they confront challenges and resistance
For all who have died: that God will bring them to the fullness of life and welcome them to the eternal banquet with God and all the saints
